Callout for Artists to take part in our Arts Event in Hayle 5th - 6th October

Reflections of Hayle: Telling Our Yarns – Callout to Artists and Crocheters

We are excited to announce “Reflections of Hayle: Telling Our Yarns,” a vibrant arts event taking place 5th – 6th October! Mark your calendars and save the date for a weekend filled with creativity, community, and celebration of Hayle’s rich cultural heritage.

Calling All Artists and Crocheters! We need your talent and creativity to make this event truly special. Here’s how you can get involved:

Artists: We are seeking artists to lead workshops, exhibit their work in our art gallery, and contribute to various activities throughout the weekend, including live performances. Whether your expertise is in painting, drawing, sculpture, dance, music, theatre, creative writing or any other medium, we want to showcase the incredible artistic talent in our community.

Crocheters: Join our collaborative crochet project.  We are looking for people to crochet objects on various themes as well as simple squares. Your contributions will add a colorful and whimsical touch to Hayle, creating a unique visual experience for everyone.

Event Highlights:

  • Workshops: Participate in and lead a range of workshops, from creative writing and portraiture to wearable art.
  • Art Gallery: Display your artwork and connect with other local artists.
  • Evening Entertainment: Enjoy evenings filled with music, theatre, and delicious food.
  • Family Activities: Engage in family-friendly activities, including a children’s trail.

This event is a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in the vibrant world of local arts and culture, share your skills, and connect with fellow creatives. Don’t miss out on being a part of something amazing!

Save the Date: October 5th – 6th October

For more information and to get involved, please contact Julie Baldwin at julie.baldwin@hayletowncouncil.net. Keep an eye on our website and social media channels for updates and details on how to participate.

Let’s come together to celebrate and showcase the artistic spirit of Hayle!
