Viaduct Hill, Hayle, S278 TRO (Chapel Lane waiting restrictions)

*Viaduct Hill, Hayle, S278 TRO (Chapel Lane waiting restrictions)*
Responses to the consultation highlighted local support for the proposal, deeming the scheme ‘long overdue’ due to the ongoing safety concerns for pedestrians and the difficulties experienced by vehicles on this narrow road.
An objection was received highlighting the limited amount of parking in the area. Whilst this is acknowledged, the safety of all road users must take precedence, particularly as this scheme
was proposed following the recommendations of a Road Safety Review.
After consideration of all responses received, it has been resolved that the scheme should be implemented as advertised.
Please note that any new parking restrictions will not come into effect until all the necessary works have been carried-out on site. These works will be carried out by the Contractor of the nearby housing development. Therefore, we do not have an estimated timescale of when these will be undertaken.
