VACANCY FOR PART-TIME ADMIN ASSISTANT/RECEPTIONIST
21 hours per week (mornings and occasional weekend/evening work)
Starting Salary £15,246 (pro-rata) SP 8
Hayle Town Council is seeking an enthusiastic person to join our small team to provide support to the Town Clerk in a varied role.
Duties will comprise acting as first point of contact for the Council and its staff via the reception desk or telephone; assisting with general enquiries; maintaining the civic diary and assisting with the preparation of civic events; taking room hire bookings for the Community Centre; general administration including typing, filing and photocopying, ordering of stationery; monitoring and assisting with social media; minor financial tasks such as managing petty cash and preparing cheques and invoices; and sorting incoming and preparing outgoing mail. Other duties as directed by the Town Clerk.
You will require a good knowledge of Excel, Word and other IT applications. Training will be provided for the right applicant.
