Hayle Clean-Up Day

Programme:

10.00am  Meet at Hayle Day Care Centre for orientation; begin litter pick-up

12.30pm  Party at Hayle Day Care Centre

1.30pm    Afternoon groups go out (those who cannot do the morning shift)  

Insurance:

Clean Cornwall will provide public liability insurance.

Equipment:

The following items will be provided by Clean Cornwall: reflective vests, bin bags, hoops for the bags (on loan), litter pickers (on loan).  Hayle Town Council is also loaning a number of items of equipment.

Individuals are asked to bring: brooms and dustpans or equivalent (for cigarette butts and very small items).  It is also recommended that you have have full clothing (no shorts), stout (gardening) gloves and shoes/boots for protection, although there will be a limited number of gloves for those who do not possess them.

Refreshments:

Light and Life Church will provide the refreshments.

Hayle Day Care Centre:

The Day Care Centre will fill the following roles:

  • A gathering point to had out maps and equipment
  • A first aid point
  • The collection point for the bin bags, which Cormac will collect in the late afternoon.
